About our home

Our stunning holiday home was completely rebuilt in late 2008. It is warm and cosy yet with a modern fresh feel. The layout lends itself for two families giving a sense of privacy with two sections of the home. The views over the stunning Connemara landscape are breathtaking and the home overlooks the famous beaches of Dog's Bay and Gurteen on the lush Irish Connemara Coast.

Bit of culture
One lovely review from Trip Advisor on Roundstone: Just come back from a fabulous week in Roundstone , the highlight of the week was a trip out in a Galway Hooker. The traditional Galway boat leaves regularly from Roundstone Harbour and is manned by 3 local men who are all experienced sailors with a wealth of local knowledge. Having never been on a sailing boat before I was a little apprehensive especially as it was low tide and the climb down over the side of the harbour to the boat was the most harrowing thing for me. However the crew were both patient and very kind to me reassuring me all was ok.I felt very safe with them. The trip itself was a beautiful experience on a glorious day and we had interesting lively discussions about the local area, history and culture. The scenery out in the bay is breathtaking and the crews local knowledge comes into play here as they can point and discuss all the local landmarks and the history attached to them. I can highly recommend this trip to anyone who is visiting this part of Connemara.
Walks in the park
Hiking trails, taking a fly-fishing tutorial, playing tennis, biking, or simply sitting in the tranquility of the forests or beaches around - there are wonderful places to enjoy the walks around Roundstone, Clifden and Connemara.
