About our home

We offer two homes, our holiday home in Kilkee and our residential home in Limerick. Our holiday home is in Kilkee, County Clare. It is a beautiful two story, comfortable house. It is located right beside the sea. There are breath taking sea views from inside and outside the house. Downstairs has 1 Twin bedroom with 2 single beds. Kitchen (4 hotplates, oven, dishwasher) with dining table. Bath/WC. Upper floor has 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom with 2 single beds. Shower/WC. Electric heating. There is digital tv in the sitting room. The well kept garden is fully enclosed and equipped with garden furniture. There is also a full size tennis court in front of the house. This is available to use whenever you wish. If you wish, it is possible to spend some time in our other property in Limerick. It is an 90 minute drive from our holiday home. It is 3000 square feet in area. It has a large garden, gym and is near many other amenities.

More about us

We are Orla and Maurice. We are a happily married couple who are looking to travel on holidays this summer. We have never done a home exchange before but have heard great things about them from our friends. Maurice is a recruitment consultant and qualified accountant. Orla is a qualified nurse but now stays at home to mind the kids. We have six children (two girls and four boys). They are all very well behaved. Three of them are teenagers in secondary school. They are calm and studious. Two are in primary school and the youngest is two years old. We are all huge sport enthusiasts. Also everyone in our family is into music in a big way. I have worked hard to make sure my children appreciate and respect what hard earned money has bought. We would treat any home with the greatest care as if it was our own. We would hope to exchange homes for two weeks at any time within our desired dates.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Kilkee is a seaside village in County Clare. Our house is just 800 meters from the beautiful horse shoe shaped Blue Flag beach which Kilkee is famous for! The beach is one of the safest in Ireland for bathing and swimming as it slopes toward the sea without strong current. Another choice for swimmers would be the famous Pollock Holes; which the water changes in every tide. For indoor swimming there is the Waterworld with a range of facilities including bubble pool, shower geysers, lazy river ride and a 61m crystal tower slide. There are a variety of good restaurants, cafes and bars, offering night-time musical entertainment. For those who love sport, there is a 18-Hole championship quality golf course, fishing, walking, pitch & Putt and Waterworld (indoor swimming pool and other water features). Kilkee is also a very good diving centre. There are breathtaking walks out along the cliffs. Nearby are the world famous Cliffs of Moher. Other landmarks are also nearby such as The Aliwee Caves and Bunratty Castle. It is easy to get busses from the end of our road to any major city in Ireland.
