“We have been this summer (2012) in Ireland for a couple of weeks. It was our first swap, and not the last, for sure. We had the opportunity of meet this lovely family of Noel, Sharon and their family. They have been the most wonderful part of our holidays. Their farm, near Ennis, has beautiful surroundings, and County Clare is a dream. Ennis is a charming village, full of colour and live music at night in the Irish pubs. Great musicians. West Ireland is better than what we thought about Ireland.”

Where is it?
We live in County Clare, with easy access to the cities of Galway and Limerick for shopping and sightseeing. The sea is thirty minutes from our home, where you can swim, surf and enjoy the wonderful scenery.
The Burren National Park is a fifteen minute drive from Spancilhill. This is a wonderful place to explore, to visit some caves and to enjoy the breathtaking scenery.
Our farm is situated about ten minutes from the nearest large town, so that you have access to all amenities (cinema, theatre, good restaurants, shopping, swimming pool, tennis courts, golf clubs, train and bus station) while enjoying the peace and quiet of country life.
There are many historical places within a short drive of our home. A visit to Bunraty Castle and Park is a must. Dromoland Castle, five minutes from Spancilhill, is also well worth a visit.
We have our own forest, twenty minutes from the farm. Here you can camp in total seclusion, with only deer and other small wild animals and birds for company
