About our home

We live in a comfortable and cosy end of terrace house. We have our bikes outside, a swing in the garden and lots of musical instruments and toys to keep ourselves and our 3 little boys entertained.

Our home is small but really warm and bright to be in. It is remarked on by people all the time, how nice a home it is to be in.

We have 2 open fire places that we love to have lit. We often eat our breakfast in the front garden in the Spring and Summer and light a fire pit in the back in Winter. We cherish our home and try to make it a happy, welcoming space.

Neighbourhood

Our area is a very quiet residential area. There are a mix of young families and the older generation who have lived on the street all their lives. People are friendly, greeting each other. Kids play out together on bright evenings and there is very little through traffic. It is a central location in Dublin - right on the Green Luas Line - Dublin's best transport link - a tramway that brings you into the centre of town in 15 minutes.

You can see the Dublin mountains from the surrounding streets and the river Dodder flows just down the hill from the house. The Dodder Park runs along the river and provides lovely walks and bicycle rides. There is a wonderful playground just down the road from us at the start of the park.

We love our area because it is very relaxed while also providing an easy journey to more groovey parts of the city or out into the surrounding countryside in County Wicklow. It's got it all in our view!

Buzzy restaurants
There is a local Italian or pub grub all local to the house. All the high street resturants like Jamie's Italian are also nearby in Dundrum Shopping Centre. But Dublin has many culinary delights to discover.
Cool bars
There are traditional Dublin pubs within easy walking distance - The Dropping Well and Churchtown Stores - or jump on the Luas into Temple Bar for a big night out!
Cozy cafés
A walk along the river will bring you to Wild & Green, a lovely cafe. In no more than 10-15 minutes!
Retail therapy
Dundrum Shopping Centre is local and the tramway will also bring you quickly in to all the central shopping district
Bit of culture
The tramway delivers one to the world reknowned theatres of Dublin - The Abbey, The Gate and The Gaiety.
Walks in the park
The river dodder flows near the house which provides lovely walks and a great playground.
Spot of exercise
Great runs and walks nearby. The Dublin Marathon passes by each year too.
Day tripping
Dublin has hills and the sea on its doorstep. Also is the
