Renovated terraced house with a bright airy open plan living space. The galley kitchen has a breakfast area with lovely views of the garden. Double doors connect to a decking area. The attic has been converted and may be used as additional accommodation on request.
Located in the leafy suburb of Milltown, 1 min walk from Windy Arbour luas stop, 15 mins to St Stephens Green and 5 mins to Dundrum shopping centre. Perfect for families and couples alike. Free on-street parking.
The space
Our house is a renovated terraced house consisting of a bright and airy open plan living room and dining room. The living room contains a television, two couches and a novel little reading nook carved out under the stairs. The dining room has a large dining table that seats seven (a high chair may also be provided on request). There is also a small children’s play area.
There is a long galley kitchen at the back of the house with a breakfast area at the end that has lovely views of the surrounding garden. In the kitchen there is a kettle, Nutribullet, microwave, coffee machine, oven and hob, fridge and freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
There are double doors from both the dining area and the kitchen onto a beautiful decking area which gets the sun for most of the day (and all evening). There is a table and 4 chairs which is perfect for dining al fresco and two sun loungers for lazing in this suntrap. The rest of the garden consists of mature flower beds and a small grassy lawn.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and one bathroom. There is one double bedroom. The other bedroom has a single bed (that may also be converted into a double on request, however note that this will restrict the space in this room) and a child’s cot bed. A second child’s travel cot is also available if required. The bathroom has a powerful, hot shower complete with a baby bath if required.
The attic has been converted into a small study with a day bed that may be used as additional accommodation on request (note this is not suitable for a small child given the steep stairs up to it). The room benefits from two large velux windows letting in light and sunshine with views to the mountains beyond.
Family with 3 children aged 5, 3 and 1.
Aiden is a self-employed research analyst. Louise works in asset management and is a qualified accountant.
We love the outdoors spending time both as a family and running, cycling etc ourselves. Our home is perfectly located for this with plentiful running trails and riverside walks on our doorstep and also near to the Wicklow mountains for some challenging hill climbs.
A lovely quiet residential area with plenty of local amenities including a playground and nice local shops. 5 minutes from the house is the River Dodder with plenty of green space to walk, ride bikes and spend time in nature.
The city centre is also easily accessible by Luas (overground rail) - only 15 minutes away.
