About our home

Our home is situated on the outskirts of the town of Killarney in the south west of Ireland. The house was built in 2007 an is situated on an acre site of landscaped gardens.
Killarney is a town that caters for all interests sure e.g., Walking & Trekking, Cycling, Golfing, Fishing, Sightseeing, Shopping, Music, Art & Culture, History & Heritage, Festivals & Fun, Dining and numerous Spas and Treatment Centres.The town itself is situated in an incredibly beautiful surrounding countryside which makes Killarney a very special place indeed.
Festivals abound in Killarney, from St.Patrick’s Day to Christmas in Killarney; your choice is endless and unbeatable. Literary & Music festivals, Sports, Carnivals & Summerfest Concerts , Horseracing and Lake Regattas, all culminating in the wonderful and exciting Christmas in Killarney Festival in December through to early January each year – 5 weeks of Seasonal Fun, Street Markets, Ice Skating, Winter Walks and much, much more. –
Our house is also adjacent to the’The Ring of Kerry’ route which is part of the mystical & unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. Its spectacular beauty is beyond question and it is a natural centre for outdoor pursuits including golf, watersports, cycling, walking, riding and the very best fishing The Ring of Kerry has some of the finest beaches in Europe that provide all the facilities for a traditional seaside holiday. Above all the Ring of Kerry provides an amazing insight into the ancient heritage of Ireland – see the Iron Age Forts & Ogham Stones, Old Monasteries and a landscape carved out of rock by the last Ice Age 10,000 years ago. Visitors to Ireland should not miss a trip to the beautiful Ring of Kerry

Where is it?


Fossa is a delightful neighbourhood. It is situated on the shores of the famous Killarney lakes and looking out onto the magnificent McGillycuddy Reeks mountains. Our home is also situated on the Ring of Kerry route which is visited by tens of thousands of visitors every year. We are just a five minute drive from the renowned Killarney Golf Courses. The splendid 5 star Hotel Europe is within a short walking distance and entrance to the magnificent Killarney National Park is right beside us where you can walk cycle and enjoy the breath taking scenery and unspoilt natural beauty of the local area.

There are a multitude of splendid restaurants close to us. The Europe hotel and Rozzers Restaurant in Killeen House are right next to us. In Killarney town there are a range of fnatastic restaurants such as the Bricín, The Ross Hotel, Lord Kenmares, Quinlans Fish and Chips and many more

There are many memorable day tripping experiences within easy reach of our home, Ring of Kerry, climbing Careauntoohill the highest mountain in Ireland, visiting Skellig Island, golfing in Waterville and Ballybunion, boat trip on the Lakes of Killarney and return on foot, on the bike or walk through the famous Gap of Dunloe and muc much more
