About our home

We would love to welcome you to the all Ireland award winning Stables which is a 200+ year old renovated cottage which sleeps up to 8 people. There are 4 bedrooms, 1 double and 3 twin rooms - each with their own en-suite's.

The open plan living and kitchen has a picture window which overlooks bog, hills, green fields and a distant lake.

The Stables is on a 100 acre private working farm which is ideal for not only a quiet break but also the activity holiday.

Due to its location The Stables is ideal for young families as well as older families and retired couples.

Where is it?


The Stables is centrally located in County Mayo (Ireland West Airport - Knock is 20 minutes drive away) and is perfectly located to visit the Wild Atlantic Way and the famous Greenway.

It is ideally situated for touring County Mayo, Sligo, Galway and Clare.
World famous heritage and historic sites are all within easy driving distance - from The 5,000 year old Ceide Fields , to the famous Croagh Patrick , from Westport and its pubs/restaurants to Galway city and its 9 tribes. From the Cliffs of Moher to Benbulbin in Sligo.

Rivers, lakes, fishing, hiking, biking, walking, golfing and the sea with beautiful beaches are all within easy driving distance.
