About our home

Our Holiday home is located in Glenbeigh Village which is a charming one street village with everything one needs, quaint pubs, restaurants, food shop and a number of old fashioned hotels. The Glenbeigh Horseshoe is one of Kerry's finest walks, with an abundance of hills from Seefin to Drung Hill, with a never ending sequence of panoramic close-ups of glacial corries, lakes and magnificent scenery
Glenbeigh is commonly referred to as the ‘Jewel in the Ring of Kerry’; it lies beneath the Seefin Mountain at the entrance of a horseshoe of mountains where the Behy River fuses with the waters of Dingle Bay.

Exploring the Ring of Kerry is a unique experience with 110 miles of flawless surroundings and exceptional landscapes with breath-taking mountain ranges, rivers, beaches and unspoilt countryside. It is located just 37minutes (35.0km) from Kerry airport and 1 hour and 47 minutes (123km) from Cork airport by car.
Keen golfers could not be better placed with Dooks Golf Course directly adjacent to it; it is one of the ten oldest Golf Clubs in Ireland and a truly magical location for a spectacular and challenging golf course. You will be spoilt for choice with golf courses in Killorgan just 12.7km away and Killarney 35km away.

There are plenty of activities for all the family to enjoy such as bike hire, water sports, sail boats for hire and sailing lessons, hill walking, rock climbing, mountaineering and Fishing, the Glenbeigh fishing area boasts an abundance of excellent salmon and brown trout. The annual Glenbeigh Race Festival is on in August every year and is one of the biggest race meetings on the Horse and Pony Racing Calendar.
