About our home

Situated in possibly Sligo's most scenic area our home is only minutes drive from a beautiful unspoilt beach and is also very close to many of Sligo's other beaches. Steeped in history we are very close to the famous grave of Irelands most famous poet WB Yeats and our open plan kitchen/dining/living area looks out onto the fantastic Benbulben mountain range. Our four bedroom home consists of a large open plan living kitchen area, a separate sitting room, bathroom and two en suite bedrooms. Upstairs are two more large bedrooms and a small bathroom. To the rear of the house is a large garden with kids play area and patio. We are located on a quiet country road off the main road. We are about 45 mins from Ireland West Airport (Knock) which which Ryanair fly to many places, Faro, Girona, Paris, Italy and Germany

More about us

We are Barry and Hilary a married couple with two small boys, Conor is 4 and Sam is 2. I am a surveyor and Hilary works as a special need assistant in a local school. We have not done a house swap before but a very keen to try as a new travel experience.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are approx just one mile from the local village of Grange. Grange is a lovely friendly village with three pubs, one of which specialises in Irish food, a Chinese restaurant and a great big supermarket. There is also a fabulous new childrens playground in the village and lots going on over the summer months, Local attractions include surfing, golf, horse riding, hill walking and much more. The main town of Sligo is approx 15 minutes drive from Grange and is a large busy town with many award winning restaurants and pubs and plenty of festivals and cultural activities taking place there all year round.
