Our home, Mountainview, does exactly what it says on the tin with superb views of the Wicklow mountains in Southern Ireland. We are located in County Kildare in a quiet rural setting yet only 5 mins from local shops and restaurants, 15 mins from the busy town of Naas and just under an hour from both Dublin and Kilkenny. As we are situated west of Dublin it is the perfect base from which to explore all Ireland has to offer.
Our home was completely renovated in 2017 and now comprises Master bedrrom with super-king bed, en suite and walk in wardrobe, 3 bedrooms each with double bed, family bathroom and sitting roo. The spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area has vaulted ceiling and gable window framing the aforementioned spectacular views. There is also a large utility room with toilet and the house has a large garden with basketball court and wooden cabin that contains sofa bed and toilet.
The house has two smart tv's and has high speed fiber broadband.
The area is a haven for golf, horse riding, hiking, mountain biking and road cycling. In terms of local attractions we live very close to many world famous golf courses including the K Club, Carlton House and Druids Glen. The Curragh and Punchestown racecourses along with the National Stud are just 15 mins away for the horse lovers among you . If a hike in the wooded Wicklow mountains is your thing the historic tourist destination of Glendalough is situated 25kms away with plenty of welcoming spots for a pint on the way home.
We are Ken and Sophie Bagnall and with us come our three noisy, busy, happy children Pat, Oli and Ted. The kids are all engrossed in a million sports, art, music and drama and if there is any time left over myself and Ken love to ride our bikes, run and hike in the beautiful landscape surrounding our home. As a family we are mad for the camping and surfing and hopefully from now on house swapping.
Ken works in cyber security and for now I am chauffeur, head chef and bottle washer.
Quiet but extremely friendly family orientated neighborhood. Surrounded by farmland with lovely walking straight from the door. Local villages of Kilcullen and Ballymore Eustace are 5 and 10 mins drive away respectively both with shops, cafes, post office, pubs and superb restaurants. Larger town of Naas is 10 mins away with a large variety of shops, pubs, restaurants and supermarkets. Access to motorways either from Kilcullen or Naas for day trips further afield.
