“Nous sommes allés chez Elizabeth pour le nouvel an 2013. Nous avons adoré son appartement, la presqu'île de Howth et Dublin. ça a été un super séjour pour nous, et Elizabeth avait tout fait pour nous accueillir au mieux. Notre appartement a aussi été très bien entretenu, aucun problème. We went to Elizabeth's place on new year's 2013. We loved her apartment, Howth and Dublin. It's been a great trip for us, and Elizabeth made everything she could to make us feel welcome. Our apartment, in which she stayed during our trip, has been very well taken care of, no problem.”

About our home
My apartment is sunny, bright and comfortable. There are two bedrooms, a kitchen dining room, and an upstairs lounge which gives views over Ireland’s Eye and beyond. Located in the lovely working fishing village of Howth, this apartment offers the opportunity to experience the coast and city easily. The apartment has an allocated private parking space. Nearby, is the sub-urban light train (DART) which runs along Dublin Bay from Howth to Co.Wicklow, giving fast direct travel to the city centre as well as connections to the main train stations. It is also on a direct bus-route to the city centre. In summary the transport connections are excellent and allow flexibility in terms of seeing Dublin and surrounds with or without a car. Also it is close to the airport (20 mins), the M50 interchange for travel to the north, the west or the south of Ireland.

I'm Elizabeth, 49, and I work at one of the universities in Dublin. Michael is a craftsman and together we love to travel especially Italy and France. From time to time if Michael is busy with a project and unable to travel with me, I travel with my sister and my best friend .
I really love Howth , it has a lovely atmosphere, really beautiful with the port and beach as its backdrop and if you decide to come to Dublin I hope you will choose Howth. One of my favourite weekend activities is to go for a long walk along the cliffs overlooking Dublin Bay, followed by a coffee or a glass of wine at one of the local cafes. Howth has lovely shops for all your provisions: craft butcher, fish shops(several), a wonderful deli, a wine shop, and several convenience stores as well as a general grocery.
When I travel I like to find places such as a nice village or small town, which has a good ambiance and the opportunity to experience the local way of living. I have completed 5 very successful exchanges and indeed some of the Howth photographs have been taken by my visitors. I will look after your home as if it were my own and I would hope for the same in return.

Howth is a pretty working fishing village on a peninsula on the north of Dublin Bay and has been referred to as Dublin's best kept secret!! It has its own coastal village atmosphere with a working fishing port, the delights of the beach, sea cliffs and open spaces yet it is just 25 minutes from Dublin city centre. (http://www.lonelyplanet.com/ireland/dublin/howth).
The village area offers a wide range of amenities from beach walks, to coastal kayaking, cliff walks, a golf course, the Museum of Transport, as well as a wide range of traditional pubs, cafes and seafood restaurants for casual or fine-dining. Howth offers varied entertainment including: comedy club, music sessions, or the opportunity for a quiet Guinness amongst the locals! For more information see: http://www.howthismagic.com
From Howth, with a journey time of 2 - 2.5 hours you can reach the cities of Belfast, Galway, or Kilkenny for day trips. The DART service runs from the Howth the top of Dublin Bay to the south of the bay, which is a beautifully scenic journey.
