Our lovely new contemporary light filled home was completed in 2017 . It is situated in the upmarket highly sought after Dublin suburb of Howth in a beautiful private setting with its own tree lined drive. A lot of thought went into the design and furnishing of the house to make it a comfortable space for peaceful family living with children. Our neighbourhood is friendly and very safe.We are a 25 minute drive to Dublin international airport.
It’s a short walk to the seaside fishing village of Howth ,.The village has lovely shops , pubs , coffee shops and numerous high quality gourmet restaurants. Sea food enthusiasts will be spoilt for choice as the fishing boats land fresh fish daily- available to buy from many of the fish shops on the pier. Local pubs play traditional Irish music at night and there is a local food market at the weekends.
Our home is very close to the cliff path, a stunning walking/ hiking/ running path on the cliff around the hill with breathtaking sea views. There are some excellent kite surfing beaches 5 mins drive away that are also good for swimming in the summer.
The harbour in Howth has its own marina , yacht club and sailing school.Close by are 6 excellent golf courses, gyms, sailing , kayaking and fishing opportunities. There is a regular bus service from just outside our home to Dublin City Centre and a very regular train into the city which takes 30 minutes. ( 20 mins into the city by car approx.)
Dublin offers a wealth of experiences- Trinity Colllege Dublin, the Book of Kells, National Art gallery, the National Museum, Guinness factory tours, Georgian Dublin, St Stephens Green and excellent shopping but to name a few.
Our garden is south facing and a sun trap in the afternoon and evening. It’s a great spot for a BBQ on a sunny day..We have a trampoline for the children.
As well as Dublin City and all it has to offer , within an hour of our home are the counties of Meath where a visit to the ancient burial chamber at Newgrange is well worth a day trip. The counties of Kildare and Wicklow ‘ the garden of Ireland ‘ can easily be explored on a day trip too and a visit to the round tower at Glendalough is a wonderful day trip.
The house would ideally suit a couple/ couple with up to 4 children.
We have a large master bedroom en suite (with shower) and walk in wardrobe and 3 further bedrooms with single beds ( and 2 pull out beds as extra if needed. )
