About our home
Our charming cottage is 300 years old and is right in the heart of Kenmare Town. The cottage has everything you need and yet is true in style to it's traditional origins. One large open bedroom upstairs, with sofabed, The living room downstairs also has a sofa bed. Fully equipped kitchen. Super cute and totally authentic! It is comfortable for four people (either sharing upstairs or using both rooms). Although please note the living and bedroom are connected with an open staircase.
Kenmare Town is one of the best towns in Ireland and will give you an experience of Ireland that is friendly fun. Stone Cottage is just 20 meters from the nearest shops, pubs (with food and music), theatre, library. It's a great place to base yourself if you want to drive the Ring of Kerry and visit the Wild Atlantic Way. And a visit to the famous Derrynane Beach is a wonderful day trip.
Ireland is all about the people and the music.
We look forward to sharing a very special place with you.
The best way to get here is either from Dublin - train to Killarney and bus to Kenmare. Or from Cork airport hire a car - it’s just a one hour drive.
Amazing pubs and restaurants within minutes walk. Stone circle. Market. Supermarkets. Gallery. Antiques.

No need for simultaneous swap - were super flexible.

We ran a guest lodge in NZ prior to the pandemic and understand what visitors need - our cottage is fun and quirky but has everything.

We’ve had fantastic house swaps and love the concept of sharing. Mostly travelling with just one or two of us - our two responsible, working, early 20’s kids may join us on occasion.

Where is it?
Neighbourhood
Stone Cottage is located in the heart of Kenmare town. Wonderful traditional Irish musicians playing most evenings in summer just a few paces away. The town is a hive of activity. Ideally located to explore the Ring of Kerry and the Wild Atlantic Way. Skellig Michael is a must see, plus the locality is steeped in history. Local theater is exceptional if there is something showing.
