About our home

Our wonderful holiday home was built in 2006 and is a lovely place to entertain family and friends, with breathtaking views from every room. We overlook the sea and the Beara Pennisula, so we have sea and mountain views.
The house is very comfortable and well located to tour Kerry and Cork; fantastic hillwalking, and a 5 minute drive to the gourmet town of Kenmare which has lovely shops, and a theatre.
Easy reach of good beaches, 2 18 hole golf courses within 10 minutes and trout and salmon fishing. It's an hour and a half from Cork airport; 40 minutes from Killarney station; 2 hours from Shannon and 4 from Dublin airport; car available. 3 of the bedrooms are ensuite; there is a large lofted garage which can provide further accomodation if needed and it includes a shower room with wc. We may have 2 bicycles available for your use.
There is good fly fishing for salmon during September nearby in our local river the Blackwater. This is a spate river so the fishing is dependent on the rains and the run of fish.
Kenmare is an historic town with wonderful restaurants and 2 five star hotels (Sheen Falls and the Park); it has a charming atmosphere and is most welcoming for tourists.

We have recently planted our large garden so the garden is not really suitable for children, but the garden is in the process of being stunning and is a yes for garden lovers.
No smokers or pets please.
