“We spent a most enjoyable two weeks in Ernest and Christine\'s lovely big house overlooking Mulroy Bay, where one could simply sit and admire the fantastic view. Donegal has beautiful scenery at every turn, from quiet loughs to rugged coastlines. The weather can\'t always be reliable but changing skies change the scenery to advantage. The roads are quiet and driving is easy, all at a leisurely holiday pace. The people are kind and visitors can be assured of a great welcome. “Kerrykeel is a beautiful location and central to breathtaking scenery in the locality. It is a quiet and peaceful spot. There are plenty of landmarks and castles to explore to learn of the history of Donegal and if walking is your thing, then Ernest and Christine's home is ideal. Art galleries and craft shops are abundant and the people are exceptionally friendly. Be prepared to add layers and waterproofs as this is Ireland, but exchanging to this area brings great reward and adventure. Ernest and Christine's home is very spacious and restful and having their daughter next door meant help was on hand, if needed. We met up with Ernest and Christine for coffee, which was lovely. They are a very genuine couple, kindhearted and Ernest was always very efficient at replying when setting up and throughout the exchange. Thank you so much for our first trip to Donegal.”
