About our home

This is our family home, there's loads of space, both inside and out. We have two cats and two rabbits who live outside and some goldfish in a small pond. We have two dogs also but we will send those to a kennels when we are away. The house is full of books and CDs so feel free to use them when you are there.

There's also a number of adult bicycles which you are free to use which would be useful for cycling around town or indeed further afield.

Our house is at the edge of Kilkenny city only a 10/15 minute walk into the centre.

Where is it?

Kilkenny is a beautiful vibrant medieval city with plenty of great places to eat and plenty to see such as Butler House and gardens, the Design Yard, the Castle and park, Canice's tower, the Smithwicks experience and the Medieval Mile museum. Kilkenny county is known for its arts and crafts from pottery to jewellery to artisan foods. There is also a train service and a number of bus services serving Dublin which, outside of rush hour, is approx. 1.5 hours drive away. The coastlines of Wexford and Waterford are about 1.25 hours away by car.

The well know Mount Juliet golf course can also be found in Kilkenny, as are some lovely scenic villages such as Inistiogue and Graiguenamanagh. You can also find horse racing in the nearby Gowran Park. There's lots to see and do in Kilkenny.
