About our home

Our home is a spacious bungalow in the countryside with a large kitchen and an adjoining conservatory with a wood burning stove. It has great views into the surrounding farmland and sunsets.
We also have a beautiful sitting room with a large T.V and a DVD player and another woodburning stove.
We have four bedrooms two large with en-suites and double beds, two smaller bedrooms one with a bunk bed and the other with a single
bed. We also have a main bathroom.
We have a large garden with an enclosed play area. Our house is at the end of a private lane way.

More about us

  1. We are Finbarr and Miriam a married couple. We have three children
    Muireann 11 Ailbhe 7 and Patrick 5. Finbarr is a farmer and I Miriam
    work at home. We are a very active family we are into a lot of sports
    in the local clubs Tennis, horseriding, swimming, walking, hurling, soccer etc. We mainly dine at home in our own house, but on occasion we visit some of the lovely restaurants in Kilkenny.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

We are situated rually 8 km from the medieval city of Kilkenny which has a large castle which is open for tours and has a very large public park with gardens and a children playground.
Across the road from the castle is the Kilkenny Design workshop with many local artists displaying and selling their art and ceramics. There are two shopping centres and many small boutiques and restaurants. Kilkenny is 1&a half hours from Dublin airport and the same from Cork to the South.
Our house is also 3km from Bennettsbridge village which has a well stocked shop. It also has the famous Nicholas Mosse
pottery shop which is set in an old mill and has a lovely restaurant looking out onto the Rive Nore.
There are also many pubs near by.
