About our home

Two storey detached house on half an acre private site in the Heritage town of Killaloe. (3 minutes walk to centre)
Our house is twelve years old (recently remodelled) with a kitchen/dining room/conservatory, 2 x reception rooms, study & washroom downstairs and 3 doubles and 1 single bedrooms upstairs with main bathroom and master bedroom ensuite. There are two decks to the rear of the house, one for daytime use and one to catch the evening sun.Plenty of books, dvd's, games etc for boys (circa 10 yrs olds) . We have a weekly cleaning and gardening service. Our home would comfortably accomodate a family of 5. We are also offering a car exchange of a Hyundai Santa Fe jeep.

  1. We are a family of 3.My husband Jim is a Professor of Economics in the nearby University of Limerick. I am an Accountant and work part time in the Public Service. We have one son who is well behaved and well traveled and will be 11 years old. My mother who is retired may also join us for part of the trip.

Where is it?


Killaloe was established during the 12th century by the High King of Ireland, Brian Boru, and has huge historical significance in that, at one stage, it was believed to be the capital of Ireland. Located also in Killaloe is St. Flannans cathedral which dates back to the 13th century. There are plenty of outdoor activities available in the area namely: Fishing, Sailing, Horse Riding, Walking, Golfing, Pitch & Putt. In addition, the University of Limerick Activity Centre located 2 miles from Killaloe offers windsurfing, canoeing, dinghies and wet suits and activity summer camps for children in July and August. After an active day you can relax and eat out in a selection of local restaurants/pubs and enjoy the nightlife with traditional music available in some of these.
