Our home is a three bedroomed house with a living room and sitting room, a dining room, kitchen and bathrooms. We like it to be comfortable, and it is simply decorated with pictures and photographs. Two of the bedrooms have king-size beds and the third bedroom has a single bed. There is also a double bed in the study. In our living room, we have a wood-burning stove, which is simple to light and keeps us warm on the cold winter evenings.We are happy to share our home with home-exchangers and will take care of your home as if it were our own!

Hi, we are Mike and Fran, a married couple, living here in Killarney for the past 16 years. We both work in the area of community and pastoral development. We love travelling and have done home-exchanges with people in Seattle, USA; Grenoble, Aime, Le Mans and Bordeaux, France; Tel Mond, Israel; Strysawa, Poland; Haarlem and Wierden, Netherlands. Home exchanges give us the chance to see another country and experience something of another culture - we like variety, but always like somewhere we can go for long walks, preferably in the hills and mountains. We like to cycle and have bikes here for those who come to our home. We also enjoy reading, and have plenty of books in our home.
Killarney is a very popular place for tourists and for locals. It is a small town, with a population of just 8000 inhabitants, but because of its beautiful location besides the lakes of Killarney, and close to the National Park and the mountains, it is very popular for Irish and foreign tourists. We live in a small quiet cul-de-sac, just 20 mins walk from the centre of town, and from the National Park. So if you want to enjoy the music and craic of the town, you can wander into town easily from our house and enjoy it at your ease. Or if you want to get away and be at one with nature, take a 20 min walk to the gates of the National Park, where you can lose yourself amidst the beauty and grandeur of the lakes and mountains, where Red and Sika deer roam freely.
Killarney has plenty of attractions on offer: walking, swimming, cycling, horse-riding, boating etc, and they are all easily accessible from our home. The following sites will give you more information about Killarney and County Kerry:

But if you want a change from the quiet attractions of nature, then take in a show at the INEC or visit one of the many singing pubs in the town, or wander through the shops, or take in a film at the cinema. Killarney has all the pluses of a large town, with the National Park on your doorstep.
