Our home is 10 years old, its clean and bright - our comfortable living room has a 42" LCD TV and a stove to help relax and cosy up in the evenings. The childrens play room has many toys that will help entertain a young family - it also has a 42" TV - ideal for playing the X-box and watching DVDs. The kitchen/dinning room is well equipped as we like to experiment with different styles of cooking. All 3 bedrooms upstairs are ensuite - the childrens bedroom is the largest. The utility room is at the rear of the house attached to the garage. We have a beautiful large garden, ideal for BBQs, a childrens swing/slide, trampoline, sandpit, bicycles,badminton & tennis rackets .. the local supermarket is 1km from the house.
“Bonjour Bel échange avec ce lieu magnifique. Dépaysement complet, l'ambiance des pub et les balades sont multiples. Rien à redire sur la maison, et nous avons retrouver la notre aussi bien, pas de souci à se faire. Tout échange avec john et ryan reste possible et facile même si je dois avouer que notre anglais reste limité. L'Irlande est à connaitre. Bonne expérience christophe et sophie”
“We spent a great time in Mary and John's house near Killarney, Ireland. The house is nice and convenient, with all the comfort. We were welcomed by a charming neighbour who showed us everything in the house. Mary and John let us many documentation to help us in our touristic visits. The area is just wonderful, beautiful Ireland (well named emerald island). We enjoyed ring of Kerry, Peninsula of Dingle, surfing, hiking, golfing and... pubbing! In one word we recommend warmly the swap! Thanks Mary and john”
“Este mes de agosto fuimos a Kerry, a la casa de John y Mary. La casa está en Rathmore, a unos kilómetros de Killarney, en un entorno de ambiente rural, y está muy bien equipada, es cómoda, limpia y muy bonita. La comunicación con ellos fue fluida, aunque Mary tuvo algún problema con el roaming en España. Killarney tiene un parque natural precioso, y lo recorrimos bastante: vimos la MucKros House, el Moll's Gap y Castle Ross, entre otras. Recorrimos el lago Muckross e hicimos una preciosa excursión que empezaba por bote, y continuaba con un coche tirado por un caballo cobb por las montañas, muy chulo. Además, es la ciudad más importante de la comarca, y está llena de pubs con música tradicional, tiendas, etc. Mucho ambiente por las tardes. Por otra parte, Killarney es un buen punto de partida para explorar Kerry porque queda al medio, más o menos, y es fácil alcanzar el anillo de Kerry , donde exploramos la isla Valentia y fuimos a ver las Skelling islands, impresionantes. También estuvimos por la península Dingle (y vimos a Fungi, el delfín que vive allí) que tiene paisajes y playas verdaderamente de película. Por allí se han rodado varias, entre otras algunas de Star Wars. Hasta fuimos a ver coronar a la cabra como rey en Killorglin, en la Puck Fair. En fin, tuvimos muy buenas vacaciones, comimos mucho fish and chips, y lo pasamos muy bien. Sólo dos cosas negativas: Irlanda es algo cara (por lo menos, para los españoles) y además, es algo lluviosa, jajaja... pero a nosotros eso no nos importó. Por lo tanto, recomendamos el destino y la casa.”

Location is perfect for both enjoying idyllic countryside and exploring Killarney, Dingle peninsula and famous Ring of Kerry. Home was beautiful, spacious and very child-friendly ! John is an Industrial Engineer, Mary is a Purchasing Manager, we have 3 gorgeous children - twin girls aged 16 and our son aged 14. We like outdoor activities - walking, cycling, running, hiking, fishing, hurling, camogie, football, picnics and BBQs at home. We have already completed four successful home exchanges. Our home is set in the country side, close to the flesk river (ideal for fishing) with beautiful views of the mountains. It is 13km (10 minutes drive) from the popular tourist town of Killarney - http://www.killarney-insight.com which has a great selection of Cafes, bars, restaurants and hotels - offering fine dining, drinks and entertainment. There is a 6 screen cimena in town, good shopping, public swimming pools and many of the amenities in the local hotels such as spas, pools & leisure facilities are open to non-residents. The town offers entertainment for all age groups - in particular the INEC hosts well known international artists of music, comedy and theatre or if preferred our local pub only 1km from the house offers lively traditional music and dance at the weekends. The famous National park, Muckross house and gardens expands over 10,000 hectares - full of interesting walks, cycles, horse riding trails, hiking, canoeing, kayaking, photography and wildlife. Sightseeing can also be seen by horse and cart, car and tour boats. Our house is well placed on the famous ring of Kerry, 1 hour from Cork city & airport, 2 hours from Shannon airport (West of Ireland)and 3.5 hours from Dublin or Galway. These airports are well served by Ryanair and Aerlingus
