About our home

A 5 bed 1 cot (4 bath) modern home overlooking Kinvara Bay at The Quay, Kinvara, County Galway. 30km from Galway City and 80km from Shannon airport.

Our home has three floors with sitting room, kitchen, bathroom and dining areas on the ground floor. 3 double bedrooms on the first floor with 2 bathrooms and 1 more sitting room. 1 double + 1 single room on the second floor with treadmill, office area (internet) and another bathroom.

Our home has oil fired under-floor heating and a solid fuel stove in the sitting room. 42" LCD TV in sitting room areas with satelite TV, WI-FI access through house. Small secure garden, suitable for younger children, decking area with patio furniture, BBQ, garden shed and a treehouse for the kids!

Two cars are available - one Vauxhall Insignia estate and one smaller run-around (we may park at the airport), both with childrens booster seats and a baby seat.

Only 30km from Galway city which comes to life during the summer months and hosts a famous horse racing festival, International arts festival and various other events.

The village of Kinvara has lots to offer including its medieval castle Dunguaire, the Martello tower at Aughinish, Tracht beach. The village is a gateway to the Burren mountains, the Cliffs of Moher and West Clare, the Aran Islands, Galway city and Connemara. The village has a selection of cafe's, supermarket's, bars, restaurants and gift shops. Tracht Beach is a blue flag beach 8km from the village.

We are a family of five with two adults and three children, two boys aged 3 and 9, and a princess aged 8.
