About our home

Our home is a delightful refurbished 200 year old farmhouse set in the heart of the Irish countryside. It has been fully renovated and is well equipped with many modern conveniences.
This self catering accommodation is suitable for people seeking peace and tranquility, yet within a few miles of some of Ireland’s main tourist attractions e.g. the Cliffs of Moher, the world renowned Burren, famous for its unique flora and geological and archaeological marvels, Lahinch seaside and Golf village and the fishing village of Doolin- home of Irish traditional music.
We are 50 minutes drive from Shannon Airport. Our nearest town is Ennis, the county town of Clare, is 30 kms away.
We provide an information folder and map of the local places of interest.
Activities.
If you like fishing, the Atlantic coastline is within a few kms’ drive.
You can enjoy dining in the local restaurants and in the evenings, traditional Irish music and set dancing in the nearby villages of Lahinch, Kilfenora and Doolin.
Lahinch is a busy tourist seaside village with its long beach, promenade, perfect surfing conditions and world famous golf links.
You can take day trips to Kerry via Killimer Car Ferry and also to Galway which is an hour and a half drive away.
Daily boat trips to the Aran Islands are available from nearby Doolin. We can organise guided tours of the Burren and the Aran Islands on request.
If you are interested in walking we highly recommend the newly completed Burren Way, a 123km linear walking trail linking Lahinch to Doolin and via Lisdoonvarna to Ballyvaughan. It then crosses the Burren through the villages of Carron and Corrofin.
