“A charming and practical family home, this was a perfect base from which to explore Limerick and beyond. We had memorable adventures in the Burren National Park followed by cozy evenings in Gillian and Anthony’s spacious kitchen-living room. The house has been recently renovated and has everything you need but maintains its Georgian features. There is a lovely midday Sunday mass at the local Redemptorist Church with a wonderful choir that we would highly recommend. An unexpected gem! We were fortunate to meet Gillian and her family who were all delightful so for us it was an ideal swap. ”

Gillian's reviews
As a host (6)“Arriving at Gillian family home was like arriving at the perfect city home. From the flower lined path leading to the front door to the perfect mix of old meets new inside, it was gorgeous. The home was so welcoming, clean, comfortable, and so close to the city. A perfect location to explore Limerick but also Kerry and Clare which we did. We were given excellent details on local attractions and restaurants which we used. The house was fully equipped with everything we needed. Gillian and her family treated our home with the upmost respect and left it clean and tidy when vacating. We had great communication leading up to and during the week. A perfect first experience for us home swapping. ”
“We had a wonderful time in Gillian's lovely home. The house is very spacious and extremely well located. Once we parked the car we didn't move it again until the end of our trip. It is just a short walk into the city of Limerick from the house with lots of great places to eat and visit. Communication with Gillian was excellent throughout and we were very well looked after.”
“We had a wonderful holiday swap at Gillian's home in Limerick. The house was stunning, immaculately clean and full of beautiful original features. We were able to visit Adare, The Cliffs of Moher, Bunratty Castle and Lahinch beach. We also had a day trip to Killarney National Park. We really enjoyed Limerick with its Milk Market and street cafes, as well as The People's Park, where my boys were able to play football with some local chldren. We love the concept of house swap. Gillian and her family were very respectful of our home and we really appreciated use of her lovely house and the homely welcoming touches. Thank you so much xx”
“We enjoyed spending three weeks at Gillian's family home last summer. The house is very light and spacious and has lovely features. Gillian and her family are in the process of renovating it with care. It was a real bonus to be able to have the use of toys and other "toddler" gear for our young son. The house is within easy walking distance of Limerick city centre, although we'd definitely recommend hiring a car to visit other attractive parts of Ireland which are within an hour or two's drive. Gillian left us with some very useful information. It was lovely to meet her and her mum and daughter when passing through Dublin on our return journey. ”
“We really loved staying in this lovely house. A very nice, family home with all the facilities we needed. The restoration they had completed was beautiful. Limerick is a great place to discover, we especially enjoyed King John's Castle and we explored the surrounding villages which was relaxing. Further afield, the roads were good to explore Kerry, Co Clare and Connemara. All in all we had a great stay. Thank you to Anthony and Gillian for letting us swap with them.”
