This is a comfortable and welcoming 5 bedroomed family home. Everyone is drawn to its bright kitchen/dining/family area, with its cosy oil-fired stove that has hosted many great parties. While the spacious sitting room is perfect for putting ones feet up for reading or TV viewing, others can secret themselves off to the big sofa in the garden room which has become the private den for the three teenagers who live in the house! All the ground floor rooms offer direct access to the pretty paved garden behind the house. A few steps up leads one to a raised grass lawn, with garden furniture for outdoor dining. Throw some of the food provided to the hens in the hen coop in the corner and you will be rewarded with eggs for breakfast!
We so enjoyed an extended family holiday two years that we all want to do it again - my husband and I, our adult son, our daughter, her husband and three children,(a teen, 3yr old and 6 month old), my sister and her three teens. My husband and I are doing the planning for the group. I am a retired school principal and my husband is an academic professor. We enjoy exploring new places, walking, cycling or driving, and always want to find the best eating possibilities locally!
Located on Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, Limerick offers a wide range of holiday possibilities - outdoor adventures and arts/culture. This house is within walking distance of Limerick city centre with its wide variety of ancient and modern attractions - museums, art galleries, restaurants, sporting facilities, shopping, and bus and rail stations. A 20/25 minute walk from the house is one of Limerick's most noted visitor attraction, the medieval King John's Castle on the River Shannon. An ideal location for touring generally in Ireland - 80 km to the Cliffs of Moher in Co.Clare (15th century Bunratty Castle and Folk Park en route not to be missed), 100km to the renowned Lakes of Killarney in South West, 100km to Galway gateway to Connemara. Limerick is 25 km from Shannon airport, 100 km from Cork airport, 200 km from Dublin airport and 200 km from Roslare Ferry Port..
