Bit of culture
Malahide Castle & Gardens is one of Ireland’s premier tourist attractions, set on 260 acres. This magnificent and historic 12th century castle had been home to the Talbot family for over 800 years. The Castle and Gardens were reopened in 2012 with a state of art Visitor Centre and newly accessible Gardens which feature many rare species and are a most for all horticultural enthusiasts.
Walks in the park
Malahide is home to golden sandy beaches, miles of beautifully rugged coastline and stunning views of Lambay Island, the Howth peninsula and Dublin Bay. Relax on the beach, go for a swim or take in the sea air and beautiful scenery on our coastal walk.
Spot of exercise
Plenty of water sports on Malahide estuary including kayaking, sailing and windsurfing. World class golf courses are within a few minutes drive. Malahide tennis club is a three minute walk.
Day tripping
Malahide's ideal location just 10 minutes from Dublin Airport and 20 minutes from Dublin City Centre makes us a perfect choice for tourists and visitors alike. Excellent Dart (city train) and bus links to the city centre and all parts of Dublin make it easy to visit Malahide.
