We have a large four bed roomed house, one bedroom en suite, a large kitchen/dining room, ajoining TV room, sitting room, and study. There is modern Wi-Fi and broadband facilities, and a wide selection of TV channels available, in the TV and sitting room.It is a private detached dwelling, with oil, gas, and solid fuel heating, if required. We have a very pleasent back garden, with high trees, which give comfortable privacy. There is adequate space in the front driveway, to accommodate four saloon type cars.
Eileen and John are in now both retired school teachers, in our very early sixties. We are very youthful and energetic, and more than enthusiastic to travel, and explore new places. We did a house exchange in the U.S. six years ago, which was very successful, and very enjoyable. We have three wonderful grown up sons, Ruairi who is married to Hayley, and living in New York, Brian living in Dublin, Ireland, and our youngest son, Cillian, who is presently in Sydney, Australia.
Our hobbies include a lively interest in all sports, music, drama, and literature.
We aim to pursue a wide range of house exchange programmes, in the very near future, and are really looking foward to exploring possibilities, accross the continents.
We live in the very picturesque village of Moycullen, which is located 10 kilometres from Galway city, the largest urban centre in the West of Ireland. The city has an abundance of tourist, cultural, and sporting attractions, for all age categories. Our house is situated about three minutes walk from the heart the village. There is a wide range of available facilities, eg. shops, boutiques, supermarket, pharmacies, motor repairs, bars, and restaurants. Our most famous restaurant being the White Gables.
Moycullen is ideally located at the gateway to Connemara, and has to be explored for its unspoiled scenic beauty. Both Galway city and Connemara, are easily accessible by car, and public transport.
