Restored stone barn in rural setting 10 mins walk from Oldcastle village on the Cavan-Meath border (90 minutes north-west of Dublin). Views of Loughcrew cairns, Glenboy offers traditional farmhouse style with the luxury for a holiday to remember. Super king-size pocket-sprung beds (adjustable to 8 singles/4 doubles), 4 bath-rooms with power-showers (1 with wheelchair accessible wet-room and bath), WiFi, books,DVDs games make it an ideal winter as well as summer place. Wheelchair accessible with Irish Tourist Board accessibility Grade 3. Baby-sitting, cleaner etc. can be arranged.

Glenboy is the perfect base for fishing, walking, cycling, golfing, horse-riding and exploring the historic and cultural sites in the area and a perfect base for day trips to the West, North West and Northern Ireland. 10 minutes walk to Oldcastle for pubs, restaurants, shops, playground, library, gym, pitch & putt, horse-riding, etc. 15 minutes drive to local lakes, historic sites (Fore Abbey, Loughrew megalithic tombs etc), family activities (Woodfield Open Farm, Cavan County Museum etc). An array of arts, music and heritage events & festivals to be found in the immediate area. Visitors are provied with an information pack with lots of ideas for day trips and reduced price admission to a range of activities (Golf, Ballooning, horse-riding, water sports etc.)
