About our home

Ours is a bright, spacious, comfortable home a quiet cul-de-sac in the picturesque village of Oranmore, Co. Galway, in the West of Ireland. There are four bedrooms (two doubles, two singles), 1 bathroom with shower/toilet, 1 separate shower/toilet, a kithen with breakfast counter and dining table, a large living room and a dedicated study with high-speed internet and large flat screen for gaming. The rear garden overlooks open fields and has a patio, barbeque, swingset and trampoline and is very private and secure. The neighbours are very friendly and helpful if you need any directions or help or just like a chat.

  1. We are Terry and Leslie (the adults), Chris (15), Thomas (12 and Anne-Marie (7). We work from home as psychologist and homeopath respectively. Leslie is from Schenectady NY and we visit most summers. This summer we'll be in the USA most of July and August and are looking for a lakeside house in the upstate area for a week or so, preferably mid-August. Our house in Oranmore will be available approx from July 10th to August 21st, so open to offers. Look forward to hearing from you! You'll love it here.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

The village of Oranmore is located near Galway city in the West of Ireland, an area with a vibrant cultural life as well as fantastic natural ameneties and stunning scenary. To the South of the village is the beautiful Renville are with a walled park, playground and wooded walks; the Galway Bay Gold and Country Club, a links course overlooking Galway Bay; and the Galway Bay Sailing Club and Renville Pier - where there are extensive sea walks for summer evenings. To the West is Galway city, the colourful and vibrant cultural (Galway Arts Festival, July) and sporting (Galway Races, Volvo Ocean Race) capital of the west. To the south and east is The Burren, an area of great natural beauty and scenary, while for the city lovers Dublin is only 2 hours of easy driving away on the new M4 motorway. What more could you ask for?
