About our home

Our home is a large, 19th century traditional red-brick terraced house, sympathetically renovated to include all modern conveniences. It is in Phibsborough, which is one of the older suburbs of Dublin, and so within walking distance of the city centre.

There are three bedrooms and a study that can be used as a fourth, and the house comfortably sleeps 7. Living accommodation includes two inter-connecting reception rooms, plus a spacious kitchen/living area. As with many Dublin houses of the Victorian era, the rooms have high ceilings and large windows throughout, giving a lovely sense of space. The house also has two bathrooms as well as a small south-facing, sunny back garden (when the weather cooperates!).

We're hoping to go to Auckland, New Zealand from June-August 2016, so ideally we're looking for someone from Auckland who wants to spend a few months in Dublin next year. As well as being a lively, interesting city, Dublin is also a great base for visiting other parts of Europe because of the number of destinations serviced by Dublin Airport.

More about us

  1. We're a family of five: Aedin & Aidan (the parents) and three kids aged 13, 12 and 9

  2. We're both academics, working in universities in the Dublin area

  3. Aidan will be on sabbatical in Auckland, NZ from June-August 2016 and the rest of the family would love to join him!
