More about us

  1. I Mary, work as Clerical Sectretary in the Health Service just turned 40 last year I love to travel and have been on the stardard sunshine holidays but I am getting bord with them so time for new experiences - I have decided to try to do house exchage. I travel with 4 friends some work in clerical in the health services the others are both teachers. I love all art, experiencing other cultures, really love open air markets with local crafts and enjoy seeking out new places. We would take excellent care of the house we exchange and expect the same from exchangers. I live at home with my elderly parents so the house I can exchange is my secondary house which is just 3 years old well equipped, clean and comfortable. As we are new to this type of holiday we would expect to arrange an exchange some way in advance in order to get to know our fellow exchangers via email first to see how best we can facilitate their stay in Ireland.

The seaside village of Rathmullen is just 5 min by car where you can go pony trekking at the nearby Golden Sands Equestrian Centre or charter a boat for pleasure and fishing trips at the pier, take the ferry crossing to the Inishowen peninsula. Letterkenny, County Donegals main town, is 10 minutes by car has a 5 screen cinema, bowling, go-karting, public swimming pool, a beautiful urban park, An Grianan Theatre and have many shopping centres where you will find a wide variety of shops and farmers market. The village of Milford is 5 mins drive away where you can go paint balling or clay pigeon shooting. In Ramelton The Mirabeau Steak House offers excellent cuisine. The Bridge Bar Restaurant has a superb menu specialising in Fish, advance booking recommended especially at weekends. However, if it's morning after the night before and it's big breakfast kinda food you're after, the only place to go is Steve's Cafe - every town should have one! All are within walking distace. From the house it is a just 2 minute walk to shops, hair and spa beauty salons, weekly Country Market fresh veg, home baking local handcrafted gifts, on every Friday morning in the town hall beside tennis courts at 11am (arrive early a visit here is a must), pubs, wine-bars, shore-line, forest and town walks.
