“We had a wonderful time at Elaine and Mick’s home in Kinsale. The house is immaculate; beautifully designed and tastefully decorated. Its location is even better than expected, we were able to stroll into town for dinner…less of a stroll back up the hill afterwards but it was fun! Elaine and Mick were so easy to communicate with, it felt like we were exchanging with old friends. I would highly recommend this home for an exchange, we ourselves are looking forward to a repeat visit.”

About our home
Our house was built six years ago and is located in the town of Kinsale. It is in a gated complex of 5 houses. There is large secure gardens around the house, with plenty for kids to do. There is a large football pitch located next to the house. Kinsale is one of the most picturesque, popular and historic towns on the southwest coast of Ireland. Kinsale is in the province of Munster and just 25k from Cork City and is the gateway to the scenic "west Cork" and the start /finish point of the "Wild Atlantic Way". Visitors to Kinsale are captivated by its beautiful setting, its long waterfront, yacht-filled harbor, narrow winding streets and brighlty painted galleries, shops and cafes. The Old Head of Kinsale Golf Links has become a world-class. golf destination. Kinsale is a popular marine activities hub with deep-sea angling, scuba diving, boat hire, fishing, kayaking climbing and abseiling, appealing to adventure travelers of all ages. Kinsale has been hailed as the "Gourmet Capital of Ireland" with no shortages of cafes, pubs, and restaurants to suit everyone's tastes and budget. If you happen to be in Kinsale mid-week go for a lovely stroll around the farmers market you can sample anything from aromatic Italian coffee to Mediterranean olives to local West Cork cheese and afterward wander the cheerful streets of Kinsale weaving in and out of art galleries, artisans shops, and craft stands. Kinsale has a number of pubs each playing traditional, Irish music every night! There is a playground in the center of town which my children love, there are some benches for mom and dad to sit and watch and have a coffee! Kinsale has so many things to do from historical walks, ghost tours, castles, forts galleries and shops, arts and crafts, horse riding and golf.! you will never be bored in Kinsale there is so much to see and do in out busy harbour town!!

As a host (3)“We had a great stay in Kinsale in this beautiful home. Smashing location & house complemented by really helpful & accommodating hosts. Our family of 3 kids enjoyed the house, the facilities, the town & surrounding area to the full. Hard for us to find a better holiday! Thank you so much Michael & Elaine ”
“We stayed in Michael and Elaine's house in Kinsale for 1 week and absolutely loved it. Their house is huge and is very stylish and comfortable - it has everything you could ask for and everything is of a very high spec. They have wonderful taste! The communication with Michael and Elaine was brilliant and even though we never actually met, Simon and I feel like we got to know them through the whatsapp messages and house swap. They are such lovely people, so friendly and fun and I definitely would recommend them to swap with. They left our house absolutely spotless and also gave us thoughtful gifts. Kinsale itself is a wonderful town with incredible natural beauty, great food and lots to do. Thank you so much Michael and Elaine :-) :-) ”

Kinsale is a town on the southern coast of Ireland, in County Cork. Two 17th-century fortresses overlook the River Bandon: the vast, star-shaped Charles Fort to the southeast, and the smaller James Fort on the river's opposite bank. Kinsale is renowned for its award-winning restaurants and Pubs. Kinsale is located 20 minutes from Cork airport and 30 minutes from Cork City. Our house is located in a 5 house gated development. The house has views of the Bandon river and outer harbor. The house is positioned in the town, and only minutes walk to the town center.
