Áine 's reviews
As a host (3)“Aine and Eamon are very friendly and hospitable hosts , their cosy home from home is beautifully presented. Waking to the view of the rising sun over the ocean from your bedroom bay window you’l understand why they chose this stunning remote location on the shores of the North Mayo coast . The headlands of Sligo and Donegal emerge into view then quickly submerge again beneath low cloud as if painted out by the artist’s brush, who’s paintings grace the walls. Within walking distance, Lacken Loop walk , strand and fishing Pier . Nearby Downpatrick, Humbert’s landing , Ceidi Fields , Killala . From the house itself the ever changing light on land sea and sky. ”
“We had a glorious stay at Aine's house. The location is superb, located along the Wild Atlantic Way directly overlooking the Atlantic. There are fabulous views from the house of the sea and surrounding countryside. Given the time we visited (early March) a lot of the local amenities (art centres/restaurants) were closed but we enjoyed the peace and quiet afforded by this lovely comfortable property. A great base to discover the wilds of north Mayo. Half an hour's drive from Ballina which is a good sized town with plenty of good shopping, pubs,, cafes and restaurants. Would highly recommend for those who appreciate the beauty of rural landscapes and seascapes.”
