About our home

Our Home is a large unique Arty, five bedroom dormer bungalow that sleeps up to ten people. it is situated in the exclusive and secluded area of Rogerstown, Rush, North country Dublin. Our home overlooks the very beautiful Rogerstown estuary and is two minutes walk to the beach, the sailing club and golf club.
The Neighbourhood is rural with neighbours close by if needed, but other wise very quiet, respectful, and private. The area of Rogerstown is a wild life bird sanctuary, and the green area in front of our house becomes the home for the migrating Brent geese that travel here every year from Canada. The geese arrive from late November and stay until April and provide hours of entertainment and some beautiful photo opportunities.
Our home has uninterrupted views of the beach, the estuary , the old Rogerstown pier and boat park. From our home you can walk for twenty minutes along the shore line of the south beach (rush has two beaches as it is a peninsula ) in to the town of Rush, or it takes 5 min by car. The town of rush is a small rural town with all the modern facilities, it has two large super markets, hairdressers, There are about eight pubs to choose from where you can eat or just have a drink and relax and listen to some live music. There are a number of restaurants in rush that will cater to most palettes. Rush has its own theatre. Our home is twenty min drive from the Airport and thirty min from Dublin’s city centre. There are also number of large shopping malls, swimming pools, cinemas, bowling alleys, nature walks and beautiful heritage sites with 20 min drive from our home. I believe our comfortable (shabby chic )home offers a little piece of haven and the best of both worlds for all age groups, and will defiantly be of interest to those who want a retreat and to connect with nature, while also offering adventure, excitement and a variety of options and activities to choose from.
We also have an additional building out the back of the house where I see my clients ( I am a psychotherapist) and this can be used as a quiet space to write, meditate, or just take some time out for yourself. I also have a 7 seater car that can also be part of the swap, its a ten year old sturdy and reliable car. We also have a cat called Phill and a large beautiful great Dane dog ( Zola) that could also be part of the swap, but don’t worry if the dog does not fit in with your plans as I can arrange for a friend to look after them.
