About our home

NO AVAILABILITY AT PRESENT. Our home is a beautiful modern bright Mews House a few steps away from the sea. Situated in a beautiful quiet area on the South Coast of Dublin City between the mountains and the sea in walking distance from James Joyce Tower at Sandycove beach outside Dun Laoghaire town. The kitchen and living room are an open plan style, dining space and large walk out first floor terrace with partial sea views for outside dining and relaxation. 1 very large bedroom with Super King bed, fitted with luxury Frette Linen's. Bedroom 2 is currently used as a home office. High speed WIFI throughout the house. One bathroom with Bath/Shower, WC etc and also a separate shower room with WC. Free car parking space is available at the front of the house. The area comprises of the villages of Sandycove, Glasthule and the major town Dun Laoghaire which is an old port town just south of Dublin and north of Dalkey The boat terminal, servicing Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead in Wales, in less than 2 hours, is located in the town centre at the east pier, less than a 5 minute drive from our home. The sea side with its selection of shops, (seafood) restaurants, yacht clubs, pubs, health clubs and many other amenities such as fishing and kayaking is a stroll away from our home and the Dublin and Wicklow mountains (known as the Garden of Ireland) are within 30 minute reach by car where you can go hill walking, mountain biking and horse riding or simply enjoy the magnificent views and, when you're lucky, spot the local wild life such as deer. The local 'People's' park in Dun Laoghaire hosts a weekly Sunday market where you'll find excellent organic vegetables, fruit, meat, flowers, cheese and bread from Ireland and a taste of wonderful foods and gifts from around the world. There are many golf courses in the vicinity and several play grounds, a skate park, swimming pools.
Dublin city can easily be accessed by public transport; we are only a 2 minute walk from the nearest DART(Dublin Area Rapid Transport) train station and bus stops to Dublin city centre with its interesting museums, historic places, theaters, traditional Irish pubs, music venues, art galleries, cinemas, parks and many wonderful shopping streets and centers where, apart from all the major international designer labels, you'll find some of the best of Irish design and culture. People are friendly and helpful, Sandycove Glasthule retains a village feel while providing easy access to the surrounding areas of interest.
