About our home

Traditional extended cottage, retaining one mezzanine loft feature as a double sleeping platform. Suitable for single adults interested in art, music, yoga/dance/gym, in heritage Ox Mountain area, with free organic vegetables grown in polytunnel, (in season), and herb/fruit gardens. Panoramic views of Atlantic Ocean 5klm below farm/mountains of Sligo/Donegal/Fermanagh and Strandhill Surfing beach. Perfect Artistic retreat to produce stunning pictures to bring home, or touring area base, for historic sites/wild mountain nature areas, bird watching, archaeology, water sports, horses and links championship golf courses in Sligo. Celtic seaweed baths at Strandhill offer a real treat with aromatherapy massage after walking in this scenic landscape.

More about us

Margaret is a retired National Teacher from Special Needs Teaching. Now I do freelance Heritage work in schools/womens groups/community clubs. I also teach Art as therapy with individuals/groups. I have a BA Degree in Education from Sussex University in England as I am British born with some interesting Irish roots that i came here to discover and ended up staying since 1977. I invite TEFL Language students to stay as paying guests, for individual conversation/examination preparation, for Third level ie,18 years old plus, and Artistic/Heritage projects, from Germany/Austria/Spain/Italy. I also judge Dressage Competitions around Ireland as I have ridden all my life.I also offer horse training/work exercising of my Dressage horses, if you are experienced. I also dance Irish and Egyptian Native dance. I am a very fit Early Retired active person.

Triskel Flower Farm is directly on the Famous Ox Mountain range in Rural West Sligo facing the Atlantic Ocean surrounded by sheep and cattle grazing farms and no houses nearby. The Post Office is 5klm and the pub. The supermarket and The petrol pumps are 6klm. Sligo city is 23klm North. The farm is not commercial, it has 3 acres of hill field with one horse that i train at the moment, a goat that is in-kid. A wild herb/flower pasture free of grazing stock in the day-time, as they prefer to be stabled out of the sunshine. The fields are suitable for artists, relaxation, writers, photographers and sun-bathing with great private views to the Atlantic. The gardens around the house are full of flowers/herbs/shrubs etc.There is an organic polytunnel with salad vegetables for guests, fruit bushes and an orchard.
