About our home

Our home is comfortable, modern and very family friendly with easy access to the vibrant city of Galway which hosts a series of film, theatre and horse racing festivals during the summer. Spiddal village itself is a charming fishing village with shops, restaurants and pubs 5 minutes in the car and an easy 15 min walk. There are also 2 beaches with one less than a 5 min drive away. Our area is an ideal base to tour Connemara, the Aran Islands, the Burren and a host of other tourist attractions. We have a large garden. Our house is particularly suited to families with a den with 50" TV, XBox 360. The living rooms also have TV, DVD etc. We have a 5 seater car for exchange. Closest airports Shannon(1.5 hr), Knock (1.25 hr), Dublin (3 hrs).

Neighbourhood

Situated in beautiful Connemara, Spiddal is a picturesque village where Irish is spoken locally. It is ideal for day trips to Connemara, Aran Islands, the Burren and of course Galway City which this year will host the Volvo Ocean Race, Galway Races, Arts Festival etc. The village itself has nice restaurants, bars with Irish music, grocery shops, butchers and craft centre.
