Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Located between Sligo town and Strandhill village on the wild Atlantic way. Just minutes from drive to the tidal island of Coney island. Looking out at knocknarea behind the house. Strandhill has lovely cafes and restaurants as well as walks and of course surfing! Ideal base for people looking for an outdoor break or a family looking for a seaside holiday. Sligo is easily accessible by road or train from Dublin

Buzzy restaurants
Stoked in strandhill is fabulous. Sweet beat is great especially for vegans and vegetarians.
Cool bars
The strand bar in strandhill or shoot the crows in town, especially if you like a traditional session.
Cozy cafés
Shells in strandhill. Lyons in town great for breakfast and lunch
Retail therapy
Sligo town has pors of shops and there is a retail park with all the usual outlets. Lots of independent shops including Kated kitchen , the cat and the moon and many more.
Bit of culture
Yeats grave is just a short drive away. A beautiful walk to queen Meaves grave is just behind our house and of course lots of beautiful beaches.
Walks in the park
Too many to mention, but strandhill, rosses point, hazelwood
Spot of exercise
The by word for strandhill is surfing. Can be done all year round and lessons available there as well. Lots of other beaches that provide smaller starter waves as well.
Day tripping
Lovely day trip to the shannon in Carrick on shannon. Enniskillen is less than an hour (so is mc neans restaurant as well).
