“This was a very successful exchange. Jemma and Eaoghan's home is in a very nice and quiet area near Dublin. Although we could reach Dublin by bus in about 20-30 minutes, we rent a car and we visited many places from Ireland. What a nice country! We met Eoghan and Jemma when they came to Spain so we got to know each other. when we arrived in Dublin, Jemma's sister and her husband were waiting for us. They were very kind, they helped me to get used to driving on the left side of the road, and took us to Jemma's apartment and helped us to settle. The neighbours were also very kind, very willing to help us in anything, but we didn't have any problem. We had a fabulous time there.”

About our home
Our home is a spacious two bedroom apartment on the ground floor of a detached house. The living space is bright and tastefully decorated. The kitchen and sitting room is open planned. Each of the bedrooms offer a double bed with the main bedroom looking out onto the back garden. The bathroom has the benefit of both a large bath tub and a power shower. We have a terrace to the front of the house where two people can enjoy dining or having a glass of wine on a nice evening comfortably. To the rear of the house we have a private back garden that catches the sun in the evenings. Our house is warm and always a place where people feel at ease and at home.

We are Jemma and Eoghan Keogh. We have been together for 8 years and recently got married in Monells, Spain. We are both school teachers and enjoy making the most of our summer holidays by travelling to places far and near. Travelling is our passion and we try to get away as often as we can. As well as that we enjoy hiking, cycling, swimming and reading. We are keen cooks and love to spend time relaxing with friends and family over a nice long meal. We have had two successful exchanges both in spainand both incredibly enjoyable experieces.

Neighbourhood
We live in a private estate called Ridgewood which is a three minute drive from Dublin airport and a 15 minute walk to the village of Swords. You will find all you need in Swords Village from beautiful Irish pubs to cute craft shops selling local Irish produce. Swords village is full of old charm but at the same time, keeps up with local trends so it offers the best of both worlds. Dublin city centre is a 20 minute drive away and there is a bus stop right outside of our estate. Closer to home we have the fortune of being very near to the coast with the beaches of Skerries, Rush, Donabate and Lusk as close as a 10 minute drive. The picturesque fishing villages of Howth and Malahide are 25 minutes away. You will find an abundance of activities to enjoy here including hiking, fishing, sailing and horse-riding. We also have the benefit of being less than an hours drive from counties Wicklow, Louth, Meath and Kildare which are popular destinations with both Irish people and tourists from abroad.
