Our holiday home was newly built in 2010 and finished to a very high standard. We have a modern open plan kitchen, dining area and lounge with wood-burning stove. There is a utility room with washing machine and drier. The 3 bedrooms are all deluxe ensuite, two with showers and the other bedroom is linked to the main bathroom with shower/bath. There are king size beds in 2 of the rooms and the other room has twin beds.
There is a garage and a good size front garden laid out in lawn and paved areas to back and side of house, where you can have a barbecue.
We have stunning sea views over Dunree Head to the front and a nice view of the mountain to the side. The house faces South West so we get some amazing sunsets.
It is a place where we really enjoy spending time with our family and friends.
“We had an awesome exchange with Norman, Eileen and Lynda in August-September 2016. We stayed for 9 days in their amazing home, in a peaceful place with stunning views in Buncrana. We enjoyed lots of things! Our favourite was reading while watching the sunset. We loved the Inishowen 100 scenic route and we fell in love with the little pebbly beach by Carrickabraghy castle. We were warmly welcomed and our stay was a great success. Thanks a lot for exchanging with us!”
“ We visited Eileen and Norman\'s holiday home this past June and it was one of the best home exchanges we had so far. The home is beautiful and the view from the living room and bedroom is amazing. The pictures really does not do it justice. Eileen and Norman were so kind to meet us in the village close by and show us the house in person, they even filled the refrigerator with goodies for us to enjoy and gave us ton of information about the area. Buncrana is really a perfect location with so many interesting places to explore. We enjoyed every single day of our almost two weeks there. Who would of thought that some of the prettiest drive that we have seen is literally around the corner. This was text book. The hills, the sheep the narrow road, the coast line and capping a hill and seeing a village below. Stunning and breathtakingly beautiful. Norman and Eileen came to our home this past October and we enjoy having them here. They took very good care of our apartment and they even took us to dinner. We\'re so glad to have met this beautiful couple that we now call friends.”
Our house is in the Innishowen Penninsula, 10 kilometres from town of Buncrana in the North West of Ireland.
It is a peaceful rural area with many magnificent beaches and some of the finest scenery in Ireland. There are ancient Irish forts etc. going
back 4000 years, and many historic connections with the U.K. and U.S.A.
The area is easily accessible, and is just 30 minutes from Derry which was a U.K. city of culture, and is within easy driving distance of many well known tourist attractions in N. Ireland and the R.of Ireland.
There are excellent golf courses, great hill walking, boating, fishing
and watersports. Also horseriding and cycling (2 bicycles available}.
Good variety of pubs and restaurants.
It would be advisable to arrange to have a car during your stay.
Belfast International Airport is a 2 hour drive.
