About our home

Our house is very bright and colourful - and warm, with an Aga in a large country kitchen, two double bedrooms, lovely big beds, with deep bath tubs and shower en suite. The views are of huge fields, large leafy trees and rolling hills. My husband Turtle is a writer and so we have heaps of books around the house, including a cosy library with a stove and a flat screen television (with sat. dish). Our garden is heavenly in the summer, completely private except for six hens watching on from their hen run! The hen run also has six apple trees, so you can collect fresh eggs and apples in the morning - a lovely pursuit. The garden had an arch through the hedgerow which leads to what we call 'Summer lane', this links us to Lisnavagh estate - wonderful for gentle walks and running. Acres of private land - picnics and walks - wonderful woods too. If you search for lisnavagh (Ireland) on line you can see the family farm and land on which out house is built. Dublin City is 1hour 10minutes from our houses - perfect for day trips - theatre, concerts, great restaurants. Plus key landmarks are within 2 hours - the Rock of Cashel, Huntington Castle (30 mins), Burtown House (25 mins). For grocery shopping, there is a traditional town less than 10 mins away with everything you could need from a traditional tailor to an excellent health food shop. Great hairdressers and beauty parlor. Also key supermarkets, Tesco, Aldi, Lidl etc.

With best wishes,

Ally
