About our home

Historic stone building of 1884, once a Transatlantic Cable Station with its origins tracing back to the first Telegraph Cable laid between Ireland and USA, renovated to include this large, spacious duplex-style apartment with ground floor access. The original high ceilings and sash windows have been retained downstairs and curved attic-style ceilings are a feature of the upstairs bedrooms. Master bedroom with ensuite, 2nd double bedroom & 1 twin bedroom and bathroom with corner bath and electric shower are upstairs, 2 single bedrooms and shower room with w/c, semi open plan sitting room, dining room and modern kitchen are downstairs. Central heating, ample parking and large garden with garden futniture.

  1. We are 2 couples Rose & Fiachra and Margaret & Kevin with 3 teenagers between us, who after all the holidays we've shared are still willing to come on vaction with us. Our professions are accountants, business analyst and journalist. We enjoy city breaks and sunny locations with a bit of activity in particular golf and swimming, thrown in. Looking for a sping break in New York and somewhere warm for a few weeks during the summer '07.

Where is it?


Waterville, Ring of Kerry, we are located in a quiet, older part of Waterville, it is ideally situated for all facilities. Walk to the nearby Waterville centre (400 metres) for a stroll on the promenade or a visit to its shops, pubs, restaurants, cafes and beach. An active holiday can include trout fishing on the near by famous Lough Currane, hill walking in the surrounding mountains or golfing at one of two nearby golf courses (one world famous championship course)with a Scuba Diving school off Valentia Island. Enjoy the breath taking view on a short drive to Derrynane Beach and National Park just 7 miles away, for watersports (activity centre), horse riding and some of Irelands most beautiful sandy Blue Flag beaches. Also within driving distance are Kenmare, Kilarney, Valentia Island, Sneem, Cahirciveen and Glenbeigh (all included in the famous 'Ring of Kerry'). Tennis court, basket ball court and childrens playgroud within 200 metres.
