About our home

My home overlooks the sea and Croagh Patrick (the Holy Mountain). It is 500 metres from Westport town, the town awarded "the Best in Ireland to Live" . It has private gardens yet close to all amenities. It is modern with a cosy and peaceful atmosphere.

Westport is the home of one of the most famous Irish bars, that belonging to Matt Molloy, of the Chieftains. It is the meeting place for visitors from all over the world and occasionally, matt himself playing a tune.

Bit of culture
The nearby Linehall or catch a local drama group as they put on a play or stay closer to home and visit one of the cinemas and experience a great early bird meal before or a late supper later.
Walks in the park
Hire a bike or walk and escape the bustle of urban life on the 42km Great Western Greenway, the longest off-road walking and cycling trail in Ireland. The World Class Great Western Greenway is a traffic free cycling and walking trail which follows the route of the renowned Westport to Achill railway which closed in 1937.

Tennis, golf, swimming, keep fit, whatever your fitness level and desire can be realised on a visit.
Day tripping
