About our home

Our home is situated in a beautiful, quiet rural part of County Wexford, in the south-east of Ireland. The house has a kitchen/dining area, living room, 3 double bedrooms, 1 bathroom and a computer room. We have recently renovated our sitting room (photos will be added shortly).
We have a large landscaped garden, filled with flowers and contains 2 ponds and a water feature. We have recently built a pergola (photos will be added shortly).
We also have a caravan which would sleep 2 adults and 2 children comfortably.

More about us

  1. Billy is 55 years old and is a restaurateur, Gretta is 43 and a clerical officer with the local county council.
We have 1 teenage boy (aged 16) and 1 teenage nephew (aged 18).
We have 4 very friendly dogs who will be staying at home, they will need feeding daily. It is possible to bring them walking down the secluded lanes (no traffic) but not necessary as they have a big garden to run around in.
    Car exchange possible.
We exchanged with a family in Spain in July 2013 and found it a great experience.
We will reply to all enquiries received.

Where is it?

We live 2 km from the village of Adamstown, which has a shop/petrol station, post office, a church and 2 pubs.
We have a buggy suitable for both adults and children, which you are quite welcome to use. We also have a water slide and pool.
There is a trout fishing farm about 2-3 km away and a great day out for children is the mini-farm in Clonroche, about 8 km away.
We are 20 km from Wexford Town (bowling, cinema, swimming, McDonalds, numerous restaurants, Wexford Harbour and Johnstown Castle), Enniscorthy Town (Vinegar Hill and Enniscorthy Castle) and New Ross Town (Dunbrody Famine Ship). Other tourist attractions in the county include John F. Kennedy Park and Hook Lighthouse plus many beautiful beaches.
We are bordered by the counties of Wicklow (includes Avoca where the TV series Ballykissangel was filmed and the Clara Lara Funpark) and Waterford (Waterford Crystal museum). Dublin city is approximately 2 hour drive away, or can be reached either by train or bus service.
We are only 45 kms from Rosslare Europort.
Check out website, also the website will give you details of all attractions in Ireland and you can check out the nearby counties of Waterford, Wicklow, Kilkenny, Carlow and Dublin.
