About our home

Our holiday home was substantially renovated in 2011, and is a warm light-filled space to relax.
Wexford is known as The Sunny South East, and in this location, you can enjoy the lovely countryside, while being close to Wexford, beaches, friendly pubs, golf courses and much more. If outdoor adventure is your interest, there is a good centre that will take you sea kayaking, coasteering or rock climbing. Or you could just relax in our garden and put your feet up! If you prefer a pampering treat, 5 star Monart Spa was recently voted in the top 3 spas in the world by Conde Nast Traveller, is less than half an hour away
For a sense of Wexford, have a read of the article in the Telegraph:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sponsored/travel/visit-ireland/11559009/south-east-ireland-travel-experience.html
Nearby Kilmore Quay has lots of quaint thatched cottages, which are a beautiful sight - see http://irisharchaeology.ie/2014/06/traditional-thatched-cottages-kilmore-quay-wexford/
Wexford town is an opera hub, with its opera festival in October and has excellent restaurants, cafes, large supermarkets, multi cinema complex and bowling.

The architect we used in the renovation has a reputation for light, and he did not disappoint. All year round, the light streams into the house - with front and back windows in the kitchen and corner windows in the sitting room making the house bright and sunny. Cosy central heating and an open fire makes the house a pleasure in winter, and open access front and back make it airy and comfortable in summer.

The house has 5 bedrooms to sleep 10 (plus double sofa bed in den, which can be closed off from other rooms). We have 3 bathrooms, and the main bathroom includes a jacuzzi bath plus separate shower. The master bathroom includes en suite wet room bathroom which includes rainfall shower.
When you want to relax, there are 2 large screen plasma tv, cd/stereo, DVDs, as well as a selection of board games.
We have an extra large gas hob, electric oven and separate microwave / combo oven, and large gas barbecue for cooking, and full size fridge and separate full size freezer to store your food. And of course there's a dishwasher to wash up while you use the coffee machine and relax.
For your clothes, there is a washing machine and tumble dryer in separate utility room

We hope our house will help you relax at home when you want to take it easy, while providing an ideal touring base to all that Ireland has to offer.
