About our home

Our house is very comfortable with a secure back garden and patio area with a 12 foot trampoline, a basketball stand, as well as a range of kids bikes for various ages. The garden gets the sun most of the day, and we have a gas BBQ for some outdoor cooking. It is an ideal house for children with a playroom with lots of toys. There are 4 bedrooms, & 3 bathrooms, including 1 en suite. There is a large bright kitchen and separate living room. The house is very well furnished and has a very homely feel to it.

More about us

  1. We are Tony and Annette a married couple with 3 wonderful children - a boy & 2 girls age 18, 16 and 10 (the 10 year old controls the family)! We both work as environmental inspectors. Our house is clean and very comfortable, but with 3 kids it can get a bit hectic at times, as our wonderful children don't always hear us when we ask them too!! We would love to try another house exchange, as our 8 house swaps to date have been very enjoyable. Our kids are involved in a mix of activities such as scouting, athletics, basketball, gaelic football, music and drama, while Mum enjoys pilates & her violin, and Dad plays soccer and tennis (pretty badly). Looking forward to another house swap adventure in 2020.

Neighbourhood

We are situated in a small friendly housing estate . It is a 15 minute walk to the centre of Wexford town (pop 30,000). You can walk along the seafront in town, while there are lots of beautiful sandy beaches within 15 to 20 minute drive. There are plenty of good restaurants in town, as well as live music/theatre venues like the Opera house, and Arts centre. We are less than a 2 hour drive to Dublin. There are lots of tourist attractions locally including castles, gardens, pet farms, beaches, pretty villages, a lighthouse, as well as plenty of summer festivals. Wexford is famous for it's international Opera festival which is held for two weeks in mid October.
