“We spent two wonderful weeks in this lovely house situated in a peaceful neighbourhood where kids can play safely. In Wexford area, there are lots of activities for everyone in the family : particularly beautiful beaches but the water is cold ! Dublin is not far away (don't hesitate to travel by train. The trip is really beautiful). If you have children, Tony and Annette's home is ideal. It is large, comfortable, clean and very well equipped. There are lots of toys for children (games, balls, bikes ...) and a trampoline in the garden that they love. Annette and Tony helped us plan our trip and advised many visits. Our home-swap family went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We can surely recommend Annette, Tony , Fergal, Ciara and Orla for your further exchanges ! ”
Anthony's reviewsAs a host (3)
“We had an amazing holiday in Wexford at Anthony's place. Everything was comfortable and lovely. We were able to walk to all the shops, pubs and sites downtown, and enjoyed side-trips to every corner of the island. Communications were friendly and thoughtful and the home warm and welcoming, with flowers on the table and a light supper in the refrigerator. Tony and his family left our home in perfect condition which was nice to come home to. It was delightful to be able to meet them for a nice little visit at the airport at the end of the exchange. ”
Muchas gracias.”
Where is it?
We are situated in a small friendly housing estate . It is a 15 minute walk to the centre of Wexford town (pop 30,000). You can walk along the seafront in town, while there are lots of beautiful sandy beaches within 15 to 20 minute drive. There are plenty of good restaurants in town, as well as live music/theatre venues like the Opera house, and Arts centre. We are less than a 2 hour drive to Dublin. There are lots of tourist attractions locally including castles, gardens, pet farms, beaches, pretty villages, a lighthouse, as well as plenty of summer festivals. Wexford is famous for it's international Opera festival which is held for two weeks in mid October.
