“We had the pleasure of organising an exchange to Caroline and Kieran's lovely home last summer for a month. Needless to say we truly loved it. It is situated in a very nice area where there are great places to explore nearby. The house has everything you need: warm and comfortable bedding, a lovely kitchen, spacious rooms, a big garden … and the views from every room are to die for. Kieran met us and was extremely helpful when we arrived. They were very gracious and generous. Their house was immaculate and they left ours exactly as they found it. The communication was very open and smooth. We would have no hesitation in recommending them as exchange partners. Thank you for a lovely exchange.”

Where is it?
The town of Westport is a seaside town and is situated at the foot of Ireland's holy mountain, Croagh Patrick. It is one of the most popular tourist towns in Ireland. It is a very beautiful place with a population of 4000 people and has the prestigious title of "Ireland's tidiest town" and winner of the gold medal in the European Entente Florale Competition to its credit. In 2012, Westport was winner of the Irish Times "Best Place to Live".
There are 5 blue flag beaches within 10 miles of the town. These beaches are ideal for all outdoor enthusiasts with many opportunities for surfing, sailing and kayaking. The nearest beach has fabulous dunes which are great for those interested in running and keeping fit!
There are numerous good restaurants and 6 recommended hotels, many of which have spa resorts, in the town. The night-life in Westport is excellent as there are lots of good pubs, many of which have free nightly entertainment. There is also a cinema, with 4 screens, and a large leisure centre.
Westport House is a stately house open to the public. There are activities for all ages here. An Adventure Centre based here can organise many water-based activities for those anxious to try their hand at windsurfing, surfing, etc. All equipment will be provided.
