About our home

Our two-story apartment, renovated in 2016, has state-of-the-art appliances & a design that opens up natural light & the Jerusalem mountain air

Walk to commercial centers with restaurants, banks & stores

View the Old City from the Promenade (starting a block away). On clear days, see the Jordanian mountains & the Dead Sea right from our living room

Walk to hot spots First Station, Derech Bet Lechem & Yes Planet Cinemas. Downtown Jerusalem is a 10-minute ride from the bus stop on our corner.

The newly renovated space welcomes you with a homey atmosphere tempered by wood, stone, brick, tile and marble. We have combined apartments on the second and third floor, gutting and entirely replacing the top floor with an open space kitchen, living room and dining room and a master bedroom suite. The bottom floor has five bedrooms and two full bathrooms.

The house comes with everything you need in the kitchen including a thermomix, ice cream maker, kitchenaid, industrial blender and more. The kitchen is kosher and includes separate dishes and cookware for meat, dairy and Passover.

There are separate timers for setting the hot water upstairs (public spaces and master bedroom suite) and downstairs (bedrooms with two full baths), as well as for the lights integrated into two different times - one for the public areas upstairs and one for downstairs.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

In the exclusive Arnona neighborhood, we are half a block from the US Consulate in the midst of an ethnically diverse environment with old pine tree-lined streets, parks & walkways. There is a small commercial center one block away with a grocery, cafe and post office. Down the street are banks, restaurants, burger places, bakeries, cafes, pizzerias, small groceries and supermarkets, and two very good ice cream parlors. Other facilities such as laundry and dry cleaning, hair stylists and even a pool and spa are in the neighborhood. An urgent care facility is down the street about 6 blocks away. There are plenty of synagogues of all different types within a few blocks -Traditional (Shay Agnon, Bet Boyer), Carlebach (Mizmor L'David), Egalitarian (Maayanot, Moreshet Avraham), Sephardi (HaHorsha) and more. Nobel Prize winning author S.Y. Agnon's house (now a museum) is right around the corner.
Getting around
The building has its own parking lot and there is a bus to the center of the city right on the corner. The bus ride to downtown is about 10 minutes. Major shopping, entertainment and restaurant areas are all within walking distance - The industrial area of Talpiot (a 10 minute walk) has everything you need - four malls, supermarkets, banks, movies and more. Also within walking distance is the Tayelet (Promenade) with an overlook of the Old City. Just outside our neighborhood (a 5-minute bus ride, 15 minute walk) is the bustling regenerated Train Station (First Station), now alive with free events, restaurants and shops. This is also where the bike path starts and our bikes (and helmets) are available for your use. The new Yes Planet cinema with the latest movies and theaters with 4D is right down our street. Derech Bet Lechem with its cafes and shops (including Bagels, the popular Grand Cafe, and local hang-out Kalo) is 10 minute walk and Emek Refaim, referred to as Jerusalem's Columbus Avenue is a 20 minute walk.
Other things to note
This is not your typical Israeli city apartment. We created, crafted and designed it to have an open inviting sense of space and many conveniences for your (and our) comfort. From the wood and stone interiors to the babbling serene sounds of the waterfall we offer you a solid foothold in our Holy City. Every bedroom has its own remote-controlled air conditioner with an inverter for heat plus there is central climate control in the main living areas. The gas fireplace warms the whole second floor (and creates a great atmosphere). The downstairs bedroom area has its own water cooler (with instant hot water) so our guests can have cold filtered water, a cup of tea or their morning coffee without going up to the kitchen. There is ample sitting space throughout the apartment. The dining room table fits 12 comfortably and we have fit 25 people for sit-down meals using an extra table and chairs (all available to you). There is a breakfast bar and an area in the kitchen designed for kids to hang out (maybe they'll even help out!).
