About our home

Single family, 3 bedroom, 3 bathrooms home, surrounded by a fruit trees garden that guests can eat at every season, with a gorgeous view of the Carmel hills. The house has 3 balconies that open to the garden, where you will probably spend most of your time. Visitors will find our home to be very comfortable and user-friendly. Our car will be available for use.
Our home is located in Kerem Maharal, a small community (p.700) 30 min from Haifa, 1 hour from Tel Aviv or the See of Galilee, and 90 min away from Jerusalem.

More about us

  1. We are Naomi & Ze’ev, a married couple in our late sixty's. We are both professionals and retired: Naomi used to be a software engineer for a high-tech company and Ze’ev is a retired academic pediatrician and an active emeritus professor of medicine in the Technion. We have three grown children and 4 (almost 5) grandchildren; our daughter and her family live nearby in the same village and can be of help. We speak Hebrew, English, German and a little Italian.
    We love travelling and are interested mostly in the human aspect of traveling – meeting the locals, and the wonders of nature. We will be traveling alone but might have a visit by one of our children. Ideally we are hoping for a 2 to 3 week exchanges and as retired, we are open to exchange ideas anytime of the year.
    Exchange visitors will find our home user-friendly, and we can assure you that we will treat your home as if it was our own.

Where is it?

Neighbourhood

Kerem Maharal our village is known for its prettiness and community life. It has a grocery store, children amusement and sports space, and an active synagogue. We live very close to the major highway system, and visitors will find that they can reach major sightseeing attractions in 30-90 minutes’ drive.
The village is known for its vast mountain biking facilities in the hills nearby.
We are 10 minutes away from a most beautiful Mediterranean beach and beach trails for bush-walking.
