More about us

  1. Rami and I are happy to offer our home to a family visiting Israel and we think you would enjoy your stay here. We're in our sixties and our kids have left the nest so we are now able to take part in the Home Exchange program. We have already done several wonderful exchanges, in Ireland, France and Slovakia. Our daughter and family have just relocated to Miami so we'd be especially interested in that location. Email us if you're interested.

  2. Rami is an agronomist and I'm a teacher. Rami was born in Israel, I come from Canada. For many years now , Israel has been our home but we lived 4 years in Toronto, 4 years in Zimbabwe, 3 years in Beijing and have just returned from 4 years in South Africa. Yes as you can see, we love to travel.

  3. Our house is in the lovely town of Zichron Ya'akov, a gem in the north central part of Israel, very close to the sea. I in particular, love history and archaeology and there is plenty of that in Israel.

Where is it?

We live in Zichron Ya'akov, a quaint and picturesque town in the Carmel hills, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. It's a one hour drive from here to Tel Aviv, half an hour to Haifa and 5 minutes to the beach. Full of history and recently restored, the main street is a popular pedestrian promenade. There are many charming restaurants and coffee shops, interspersed between stores selling local art works. There are art galleries, artists' studios and museums. Everything is within easy walking distance from our house including supermarket, dry cleaners and a fine bakery. Plenty of places to go on day trips - Ramat ha-Nadiv Gardens, Caesarea, Carmel Caves, Ein Hod Artist Village, Bahai Gardens (Haifa), and more. Nice virtual map at
