Superbly located near lovely hilltop village with sea & mountain views

Comfortable holiday home built to escape the summer heat of the nearby Ligurian coast. There are 3 double bedrooms (one very large, with a child's cot) and bathroom + shower on the first floor, further bedroom, bathroom and playroom/occasional additional bedroom (has slept 3 children) on the second floor. Additional WC on main floor, sitting room with wood-burning stove, satellite TV, video & DVD, dining room and newly-fitted kitchen with dishwasher, w/machine and gas cooker. Terrace for outside dining, outside pizza-oven, fruit-trees, steeply-terraced 'garden'.

The location is completely quiet and peaceful, on a hillside at 900m with amazing views of mountains and the sea near Monte Carlo. The house is a 10-minute easy walk to the pretty village of Baiardo, with 3 restaurants, 2 grocer's stores, butcher's and 2 cafes. Buses run 5 times daily to the seaside at Sanremo, 45 minutes away. Nearby is a public tennis court, miniature golf and a football pitch. Well-marked trails for long or short hikes start nearby. A newly-built luxury thermal spa hotel with outside hot pools and range of treatments is a 20-minute drive away, as are many other restaurants and attractions. 1 hour's drive from Menton, 2hours from Nice international airport, 2 1/2 hrs. from Genoa airport. 4-hour scenic mountain-railway journey from Turin.

This is our holiday home, acquired five years ago, which we visit from our home in Bath, England, with our children and grandchildren several times a year. My wife and I are retired, and enjoy travelling; I speak Italian and French, but English is understood in most places visited by tourists.
